We are very pleased to invite you to a two-day, practical workshop with Mark Broadie – the professor at Columbia Business School who has revolutionised golf analysis and developed the Strokes-Gained methodology. As the founder of modern golf statistics, Professor Broadie will guide you through the data-driven principles that distinguish top performance from the average.

Mark Broadie's work has fundamentally changed how professionals, coaches, and ambitious amateurs assess their performance. Instead of being limited to traditional statistics like 'putts per round', his methodology allows for a holistic view of each individual shot in comparison to the relevant reference field. He has set the industry standard for measuring efficiency on the golf course. In this workshop, he will explain the mathematical foundations behind Strokes Gained in an understandable way and show how the data is interpreted to identify true strengths and weaknesses in driving, approach play, short game, and putting. Furthermore, it will be conveyed, how Strokes-Gained data can be specifically used for game strategy and course management. Through practical examples, it will be demonstrated how concrete strategic decisions arise from data and how players can optimally utilise their strengths while specifically minimising weaknesses.

This workshop offers you the opportunity, to close the gap between intuition and objective data. Through a combination of theoretical foundations, practical case studies, and interactive units on data analysis, you will learn to use Strokes Gained metrics purposefully to optimise training plans and improve strategic decisions on the golf course. Whether you are a coach looking to develop your teaching methodology, a club fitter relying on data-driven fitting insights, or an ambitious player aiming to improve your handicap – this event will provide you with the analytical tools to elevate your game to a new level.

Why participate?

  • Go beyond basic statistics and learn to understand the differentiated performance metrics that determine successful strategies on tour.
  • Gain deep insights directly from the developer into the philosophy, origins, and evolution of Strokes Gained.
  • Learn to translate complex data into concrete training plans and adjustments to your strategy on the golf course.
  • how Strokes Gained data can be purposefully used for game strategy and course management
